pdnsd error : T_NAPTR: buffer limit reached

We are running pdnsd-1.1.11-par

pdnsd getting killed. The error message is

pdnsd[3430]: dns_query.c:413: T_NAPTR: buffer limit reached
pdnsd[3430]: Caught signal 15. Exiting.

After restarting , pdnsd exits with the same error after 3 or 4 hours

/etc/pdns.conf has

global {
perm_cache=512;
cache_dir="/var/cache/pdnsd";
max_ttl=604800;
run_as="pdnsd";
paranoid=on;
status_ctl=on;
}

How do we go about solving this problem.

Thanks

psubhadra

Hi,

Change privileges to "root": run_as="root";

I have it in my configuration file, not errors so far.

Hi

Thanks for the suggestion. Will try out.
Is there any security issues in running as root?

Forgot to mention in my post that pdnsd was running without errors
for more than 3 years. Last week it has started exiting with this error

Thanks

In this case, don't change anything.
