I don't know if this question belongs to this forum, but, anyway...
We have a external mail server to send and recieve mail. However, we have no control over this server, we cannot install a spam filter or an antivirus-scanner. I have this idea, to set a second server, this server will retrieve the mail from the first server and then the second server will filter the spam, and the clients will retrieve their mail from the second server.
Hopefully you'll understand what I'm trying to say...
get a new mailhoster, one that allows you more control over the server or can clean up their spam problem.
or just ditch the mailhoster all together. If you are planning on setting up your own mail server you might as well not pay someone else to do what you will be doing already. just redirect the mx record to your mail server.
