Open up PPPoE

I currently have a wireless network where my linux workstation can PPPoE onto the network and via routes access the internet. From our internal network I can ping the workstation but SSH give me access denied when attempting as root and Samba also doesn't work via PPPoE interface.

My network is already behind a firewall and I want to allow all incoming and outgoing PPPoE connections such as SSH and Samba. I have even stopped the iptables firewall but to no avail.

What must I do?
