in your browser's settings... like, check to see if you have firefox configured to use a proxy or not ( Edit -> Preferences -> General -> Connection Settings ) and then compare that with your konqueror's settings... if one is configured for a proxy and the other is not, then that's probably your issue right there...

the proxy settings are the same in firefox and konqueror.. but the problem is that all the applications can't access the net except konqueror and amsn i don't know why .. i thought at first it was something wrong with the router , but the amsn and konqueror works fine so i don't know what is the problem

hmmmm... are you able to ping the WWW??
Code:
ping -c5 google.com
i'm not sure what could be causing your problem... if you start firefox from a terminal (command line) do you get any error messages when you try to surf??

sounds similar to my problem, although I have got some more apps working but not all (I posted for help earlier today, although noone has replied). If your terminal takes 20sec+ to load up then I guess its a reverse dns lookup issue. I had to go through and make sure that my hostname, dnsdomainname and /etc/hosts had the correct stuff in, if they are slightly wrong it causes some odd problems with lots of programs but according to web pages i have been reading konqueror does not suffer from it. I think that hostname should be one word, and domain two seperated by a fullstop and then the hosts file should have the fully qualified domain name and the hostname and the domain name each as seperate items under the local host ip....although since I havent fixed my pc completely I guess I am wrong somewhere. Check out by earlier post for my net settings and check against yours...
