My computer connects sometimes to the internet

Well,

When I boot it's always a matter of crossing my fingers whether my computer connects to the Internet or not. If it doesn't I reboot completely and mostly it works after a reboot. Sometimes it works from the first time.

My computer is connected trough a router that connects 4 PCs's to the Internet. I'm running Mandrake 10.1 community.

What can I do, and please no very sophisticated explanations, because I am a true newbie to linux certainly configuring it.

Thx
Wannes
