NFS RPC error msg

NFS problem...

here is what is in my /etc/exports file on machineA

/games 192.168.1.100(rw,no_root_squash)

saved it, and restarted NFS

Now from machineB ran

mount -t nfs 192.168.1.100:/games /nfsmount

on machineB getting the following error...

mount: rpc: port mapper failure-rpc: unable to receive

I also tried creating other NFS shares, but no luck. What's up with this error? How do I fix it? TIA!!!

I think that you need to add the netmask after the 192.168.1.100.

192.168.10.100/255.255.255.0

Try this...

/mnt bla.bla.0.101(async,no_subtree_check,rw)

Also ensure that rpc etc is enabled for your kernel.

Hope this helps
