new tyan 2466-4m onboard lan goes down
I just upgraded to a new Tyan 2466-4M board with two athlon 1800mp. Currently I have nothing on the pci bus and experiencing trouble with my 3com onboard lan (3905c-TX). I am running kernel 2.4.20-8 and using redhat 9.0. My onboard lan comes up fine, it recognizes everything but it goes down and has multiple packet RX and TX errors and overflows. I am able to restart it and run it again for a little before it goes down again. Here's the errors found in system log:
kernel: eth0: transmit timed out, tx_status 00 status e000.
kernel: Flags; bus-master 1, full 1; dirty 87268 current 87284.
kernel: Transmit list 00000000 vs. c07bb240.
kernel: 0: @c07bb200 length 800000aa status 000000aa
...
kernel: 15: @c07bb2f0 length 8000002a status 0000002a
I have no other pci devices but I noticed that something else on the board (i think usb) was using the same IRQ as my ethernet port. Could this be the culpret. I don;t remeber seeing anything in the Phoneix 4.05 BIOS that would allow me to change this though. Besides, I thought device were allowed to share IRQs. I am at a loss right now and any reply would be helpful, thanks.
