Maybe then we can find a solution (Just cut/paste the damn thing)

It shows that it started vsftpd

Or somthing similer
Does that mean vsftpd working ?

So it seems that the other machine only shows a LO address ?
That would mean that the NIC on that machine is not properly configured.
U know to config that ?

Depending on the kind of networkcard in there, you should be able to config it. (if the hardware is seen by linux.
The machine who doesn't have a working network card. Which distro is on it?

We tried to use the network cards in windows before .
They worked very well .
There is no not working network card .
the notebook ( the one I couldn't find eth0 inet address in ) has mandrake 9.1 installed on it, "Dell"
Desktop ( I found eth0 inet address ) has the latest redhat installed ot it "eMachines"
Nothing gone wrong when we were using windows .
Do you think something broke up ?
