Question need documentation

please give me a hint .... where can I find documentation
about writing (programming) a network spy .... how to catch tcp packets ? ..... thanks !

If you're looking at sniffing packets, then there are already quite a few tools you can use. Ethereal is one that comes to mind. You'll find it at
