MSN Messenger and iptables NAT

Hello,

A computer of my home subnet uses MSN Messenger and can't use the audio capabilities.

I've activated iptables NAT on my linux server that is connected on internet.

What port(s) MSN Messenger used for audio capabilities ?

I would like to know it (or them) to forward all the connexion on this (theses) port to the machine that uses MSN Messenger.

I used it for my peer to peer software and it's running.

Thank you.

No sorry but i think it would be possible to know what ports are using by MSN Messenger.

Use iptraf to visualise the traffic on your internet interface and you should see what ports are using.
Then, you have to redirect theses ports, using iptables NAT capabilities, to the client ip adress which uses MSN Messenger.
It is possible MSN Messenger uses dynamic ports so you would redirect a range of ports to a specific machine.
Then, you won't use MSN Messenger to an other machine of your local network.

Go and see at http://sourceforge.net/projects/linux-igd/

Download and install. It's a patch for H323 functionnality on Linux to use MSN.
