Looking for a router model suggestions in-expensive

I am look for a couple replacement routers. I haven't made the move to the big Cisco routers. I am using the Cisco based Linksys routers. However it is limited to the range of sub-nets.
I have 5 different ones and I cant change the 3rd octive of the subnet. For Example, I use 255.255.255.0 I want to use 255.255.0.0. Does anyone recommend models out there I can use to replace my main router/gateway? I don't have the budget for the big Ciscos yet.

You can always get a good, cheaper router like the WRT54G and upload the DD-WRT firmware to it

I run all of my routers on DD-WRT and never had a problem.... Just my two cents

May wish to look at untangle linux either in a local made box or one of their products. There are other good setup's out there too. The main pitch to any hardware solution is they are faster in almost all cases.

But if you can stand some slower speeds a more complete solution may be better.
