Linux server on 2 different networks

I have a linux box that I would like to use to monitor two seperate networks. Is there a way that I bind each NIC card to the network it's connected to?

Example:

eth0 - 10.10.10.x
eth1 - 192.168.1.x

If I want to ping 10.10.10.1, it will know only to use eth0 and not look at eth1.

I hope this is clear and I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks!

Yes that is what will happen if you set the 2 cards to 2 different networks. The routing table decides where packets go. You can see your routing table with:
route -n

Hum... I don't have a command for route. Is it in Redhat 9.0?

Or use:

Great... /sbin/route worked. I was su, but for some reason that command isn't in the path. Thanks again, I'll look through the man pages.
