limitation bandwidth

Hi,

I have 10 linux boxes and 4 windows laptops that are going to internet thru my main linux machine.

I have assigned the all static IPs and and it is working normaly.

The question would be:
Is the there any kind of tools that you can recomend me that could help me so I limit those users to a limit use of bandwith (for example 5 GB per month)?

My main machine is running suse 9.1,

regards,
Adnan M.

I think what you're looking for is the "tc" command. Here's a howto on it:
http://linux-ip.net/articles/Traffic-Control-HOWTO/

and another one:
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Adv-Routin...rtc.qdisc.html

There's probably some nice-looking gui's out there, but I haven't seen any.
Good luck! Traffic shaping can be pretty challenging, but it's rewarding to have it set up just the way you want it.
