LDAP server in python twisted

I want to receive LDAP requests obtain the request data and execute a process before returning the answer to the request.

There is LDAPtor which is bigger than Ben Hur. Way too complicated. Some documentation says "Set up an LDAP server in 5 seconds". Encouraging except the example is for a client not a server.

If there is an actual LDAP server example that would be great.

The is mockserver and fakeldap which don't allow capturing the request for "preprocessing".

Juggling the options I am thinking the product Twisted looks to be the best candidate appearing to be simpler than LDAPtor.

Does anyone have any twisted sample code that acts as an ldap server that I can use as a template? Either that or an ldaptor example. (Not a client)

It queries the KDC for the decryption algorithm for your service request ticket, decrypts it, does an authorization query to the PAM stack and then it does a directory look-up before it answers your query.
I'm assuming you want it to do something more?

I'd probably start here. Google slapd, and then probably visit the openldap project before visiting this page.
You want to modify ldap, you want a graphical tool to do it and you want it quick.
I think you're being overly optimistic.
