Is There an Email client that auto saves attachments?

Hello all,

I'm using Redhat 9. I am in search of a program which will automatically (every 3 minutes or so) go out to a pop3 server, pick up the mail and place the attachment(s) into a directory of my choosing. If it has the ability to place attachments into different directories depending on the contents of the subject line, that's even better. I regularly receive attachments (closed caption files) during the course of the day and need to sort/save them to a known location.

Is there an application, or combination of apps, which will give me this functionality? I've gotten so desparate, I've even considered using an old copy of Eudora running under wine!!

Thanks for your time,

Erik

you can try using fetchmail to fetch your mail from the pop3 server.
however after that..i dont know how you will tell some app to automatically save all attachments to a location.
i couldnt even find much on google(though i just searched twice so maybe i am wrong).
anyways...the first step would be to use fetchmail to fetch all your mail and put it into a local mailbox.
