Internet to Slack9 via Win2K DHCP

Hi,
I've gotten my basic network up. This is just a test network and consists of a w2k computer and a Slack 9 computer. Both the computers can ping each other without problems.

I've set up DHCP on w2k and Slack gets it's ip from there. I think I've tried everything I can think of, but just can't get internet over to the linux box.

Not quite sure what info you need, but don't hesitate to request it!

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thomas a.k.a. Firemorph

I shared the internet-connection in w2k, this resuleted in the ip cahnging to 192.168.0.1 . Then, I sat up a DHCP scope starting at 192.168.0.2 ending at 192.168.0.10 and made sure the dhcp server was running.

In slack, I ran netconfig to set up the basic networking, chose DHCP for everything and let it probe for a card. It found my card and used the correct driver.
in /etc/rc.d/ , I first ran rc.inet1 and then rc.inet2, which I had edited some.
After running inet1, my MAC and new ip (192.168.0.2) were echoed back to me.

NOTE: I had already the basic networking up, when I asked the original question!

I used killall smbd nmbd, to kill samba, and started it with
$smbd -D
$nmbd -D .

BUT, I couldn't get the internet over.
So, I started exploring the sharing tab in my external connection. There was a button, either Advanced or settings (I can't quite remember), but I clicked it.
On a tab there was a list of "services".
I understood these was how I could open ports to the other computers. I added a new one, named it HTTP port 80 and the address 192.168.0.2 .
Disconnected the extrnal connection, and dialed in again.
Now, internet worked great in linux!
