I just installed SlackWare (i have both KDE and Gnome available).. but internet doesn't work. I have internet by cable, plugged to netcard. I have two netcards - one for ethernet and 2nd for internet. How i can make internet working ?
Well, if you provide more information about your setup, NIC types/models, what you've tried and what you haven't tried? If you've configured your NIC's with the proper modules, etc?
Which card is connected to cable modem, where does the other one connect to?
You have to have some kind of modem, either cable modem or DSL modem... If you have cable, you should have the external cable modem, or I really don't know how you'd be connecting to the internet then....
What kind of cable are you talking about? Phone Line? Coax (thin net)? Cat5? There has to be something doing the modulation/demodulation to allow access to the internet.
how do you connect? dial up? as slightcrazed said, you must have some form of modem, wether it be cable/dsl/56k, if not then you seem to be trying to connect to the internet via fresh air....
