I cannot get on line or on the internet and don't remember how to trouble shoot it ..


It has been so long since I had trouble I forget how to trouble shoot.
I have ubuntu and my system that did get on the internet with any browser (i use firefox) will not get on the internet today ... This is a dual boot windows/ubuntu system. I need help trouble shooting it. I don't even know where to start with the question beyond this.

Oh! By The Way! windows does get on the internet so the machine is connected it must be some setting in ubuntu that's not right!

This is going to be hard.


Open a console.
Go to Applications > Accessories > Terminal

Type:
Code:
sudo lsmod
sudo lsusb
sudo ifconfig
Post the output of these commands here.
