Angry I can ot get XP to Authinicate with Linux PDC

Ok I have gone through the steps to create a SAMBA PDC. Problem is I can ping it from both sides just fine- but no Authinication.
I will in include my SMB.CONF file for you to look at.
ALso when I run "TESTPARM" iget an error massage about my password lines being bad. This is exactly how they said to setitup.???

I have disabled encryption on XP side in locale settings and restarted the box to make sure it took.

Can someone hlp me here?
I think I am real close to getting this thang to work.
Oh by the way I do LinNieghborhood and when I try to connect it to XP it just sits there like dumb.
ON XP side it say you might not have permission to use this drive ???

Here is the SMB.CONF

1) Which lines were giving you errors, and what did the erros say, exactly?

2) You have password encryption on in your smb.conf, and you said you turned off encryption on your xp box. You need to have them both on or both off.

3) Try remarking out some of the unnecessary lines with a semicolon. Start out with the basics and then add the fine tuning.

Should be

smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpaswd

The path to the Samba password is wrong.

Check out these links. Go to the section on client configuration. XP needs some extra steps.
