I've just started learning linux and I Just installed Fedora Core 7
I'm having trouble getting my Atheros AR5006X wireless working though.

I have confirmed yum & madwifi is installed via installed packages in the add/remove software program. I modded /etc/modprobe.conf as shown in the instructions.

My current modprobe.conf looks like:
alias eth0 r8169
alias scsi_hostadapter ata_piix
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-card-0 index=0
options snd-hda-intel index=0
## Start Atheros Stuff
alias wifi0 ath_pci
alias ath0 ath_pci

My computer is a Toshiba U300-NS1

please help!! Oh I should the wired connection works fine, its just the wireless I'm having issues with. If I do ifconfig/iwconfig the hard wired connection shows up, but nothing for the wireless. The wireless works fine in vista & xp

What does show?
