activating Atheros card on Fedora Core 2

Hi,

I have downloaded the drivers from the wiki wifi site for the Atheros Chipset, compiled them, and I even have the card "working" when I do iwconfig and ifconfig (it also shows up on my GKrellm - it sends and receives), however, when I try to activate the device under System Settings -> Network, I get the following message:

ath_pci device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It's an Atheros AR5001X+ card under Fedora Core 2 on Toshiba A40.

Thank you for your help.

~Max
