how to get the current transmit queue size in network interface


Hi all,
I am trying to get the current transmit queue size on each network interface in linux.
we can set the max transmit queue by ifconfig command. but is there a way to know the current queue length?
Please help

The ifconfig output has the information, txqueuelen:1000.
