how to get information of ISP.


mandrake 10.0
i have internet connection in my university through proxy server (10.1.1.50).
i do not know who is the ISP of the proxy server.
hw can i get all the information by query the any server?or by any command.?

Go to:

http://www.whatismyip.com/

Find out your Internet IP there, then run "whois <that_IP>" and it will tell you information about the ISP.

That is not an internet IP, that is your local network IP. Go to the site if you want to know your ISP.
