How do you see who is using a shared file?

I am having file locking problems on my server. It is a Fedora Core 3 system running Samba with all updates applied. There are only approx. 7 users on the entire network and none of them is currently using the file, but it says it's locked. It could be an oplocks issue, but I would first like to see if someone is inadvertently using the file (i.e. Word crashed, but never released the file). I haven't rebooted yet. I'm trying to find a simple way to see what user(s) is/are using a particular shared file. Something akin to the way Win XP will allow you to see open sessions via Computer Management. Doesn't even need to be graphical. CLI is good for me. Thanks in advance for any help.

"smbstatus -S" will tell you who is connected and from where.

"man smbstatus" for more details.
