Unhappy HELPS~ Can't Receice Mails

Helps~please....
i've setup a new server (RH9) & create hosts by Virtualmin ....
i found that all the users under these domains created can't receive emails

i used telnet to check is the port 25 & port 110, here are the results:-

# telnet localhost 25
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 xxxx.com ESMTP Sendmail 8.12.8/8.12.8; Sat, 1 Jan 2005 13:08:04 +0800

# telnet xxx.com 25
Trying xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx...
telnet: connect to address xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx: Connection refused

# telnet localhost 110
Trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused

and here is the message reject from sending email to my domain
mail.xxx.com. - xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx [Could not connect: Could not connect to mail server (connection refused by remote mailserver).

by default, sendmail is configured only to accept mail from localhost. You need to edit your sendmail.mc file, usually located in /etc/mail/

You will be looking for a line that says:
DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl

If you have a fairly recent version of sendmail, the file should tell you that you must comment out the line below it so that you can receive mail from the outside.

make the line look like this:
dnl # DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl

and you'll be set to go.

While you're editting the file, it may be worth your while to enable mail relay blocking and other options, which is all explained in the file. Of course, the file doesn't have every nook and cranny, but it has some of the more common options. I've used the provided config and did not need a sendmail lesson.

thankx pal, u really helps... it works
now i'm able to telnet port 25 from domains created
but still can't receive mails

email failure notice returned -->
<max@domain.com>:
This address no longer accepts mail.

i'm sure the user "max" was created invirtualmin, a directory was created by virtualmin at
/home/domain.com/homes/max

i found that webmin created user mailbox with max.domain.com not max@domain.com
is this normal ?

btw, what is the service to start port 110 ?
