Grub Options for different IP configurations

Hello

I am trying to employ grub to set-up such that I can boot to

a) a dhcp provided ip address
b) static ip address

In info grub it states ifconfig (and dhcp/bootp) are commands available
to grub.

I can figure out where to pass them ?

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanking you

Hi,

Here is the way I would proceed (I don't think that's the best...):
As you must have one config with dynamic IP and another with a static one... I would build 2 kernel... 'cause the static config does not need to run a kernel with bootp or things like that.
Then you just have to modify your network config script which should choose the config to run thanks to /proc/cmdline
