generic multihomed network card question

In a system that has two NICs, both with addresses on the same network, which one gets packets routed to it?

My current GIGE over copper card has multicast problems in it's driver (does not work). So I want to use my onboard 100 Mb adapter on the same network to recieve multicast. If I filter everything on the 100 Mb adapter (except multicast addresses) will incoming packets destined for SSH and other services shunt over to the adapter that is not filtered?

thanks!
