ftp using sshd

I have sshd installed and running on my linux workstation. i am having problems logging into my linux from another computer. I do not know how to config sshd to recognize(authenticate) the other computer-I believe I need to change one of hosts file but can someone show me specifically what needs to be done.

So ...what is the nature of this problem? Do you have some warnings/failure messages? Post it here for further help...

You will have to teel your ssh server which forms of authentication you accept, password, public key, host key...
This is done in your /etc/sshd/sshd.conf file
