ftp using root access


hi
iam using redhat 8.0...i need to give root access for my ftp connection...
is it possible to login to the server user ftp and user root?? if possible..how do i do it
its very urgent...pls help

Why would or do you need root access via FTP? Unless your using a secure connection, why not just create a user who has the access to whatever your needing to download or upload? Regular FTP is like Telnet, very insecure. And please don't mark threads as urgent. Members come to this site to ask questions and its all free, be considerate to others as there is no priority in answering questions.
