Question Ethernet error


Hi all,

I have installed Redhat linux 4 WS on dell gx150 machine intially ethernet eth0 working fine after 15 days eht0 was down when i am trying to reactivate it its giving error " eth0 does not seem to be present" unable to activate it. Please any budy help me in this issue.

Do you have eth0 interface comfig file? You have to. Unfortunately I do not use RH, my distro is Debian, and I cannot say where do your network's configurations are. My are in /etc/network/interfaces. Your, probably, are in /etc/sysconfig/network/interfaces or another file in the same directory with a strange and long name containing 'eth0'. If you found it , post the content out there, please.
