Establishing InterDomain Trusts
Interesting problems...
Senario:
I have one NT domain(EERDZA001) and a new Samba Domain(EERDZA002).
I have followed all the instructions from Samba.org to setup my domain trusts.
I have a NT PDC in 001 and a Samba PDC in 002.
I have created a trust from my Linux to NT but when I create the account on Linux using 'smbpasswd -a -i eerdza001' I get the following error:
"Failed initialise SAM_ACCOUNT for user eerdza001$."
"Failed to modify password entry for user eerdza001$"
My smb.conf file is as follows:
[global]
# workgroup = NT-Domain-Name or Workgroup-Name
workgroup = EERDZA002
# Security mode.
security = user
passdb backend = smbpasswd, guest
# You may wish to use password encryption.
encrypt passwords = yes
# Browser Control Options:

# OS Level determines the precedence of this server in master
os level = 64
# Domain Master specifies Samba to be the Domain Master

# Preferred Master causes Samba to force a local browser
preferred master = yes
# Enable this if you want Samba to be a domain logon server for
# Windows95 workstations.
domain logons = yes

# This one is useful for people to share files

What am I doing wrong????
