hi there i have a adsl connection with a dynamic ip, is it possible for me to have a .com .net .org etc dns, or is this going to be a real bummer for when i want to reboot??? cheers

Originally posted by trickykid You wont necessarily lose your IP after a reboot. Most of the DSL companies and Cable will give you the same IP months at a time, etc.
But if your wanting to run your own domain server, check into www.zoneedit.com or www.dyndns.org or the likes for using DHCP IP's from your ISP, etc.
yah i was looking at dyndns can you set those clients to automaticly run after the adsl has connected to the internet on a reboot so when boot is compleate i can just go to name.dyndns.org without any worries. thanks allot
