dhclient wlan0 - wlan0: not found


hi yall,
i am SO close. i'm on slackware 10, and just configured my intel pro wireless 2100 3a and it is all set up with the essid and key and everything but when i run the dhclient it says:
wlan0: not found

what is going on? the interface is up and everything is configured correctly so it must be something with my general network configuration, please help.

ha! i figured it out! instead of running "dhclient wlan0" i just needed to run "dhcpcd wlan0". Now it works!
