Cups ?

I am not sure if this is a Linux or Windows issue, but ...

I am running Fedora 2 (Win4lin) and have cups running.

Cups version is 1.1.20

When I try to get one of the Win/xp boxes set up to use the printer. They will work right after installing the printer (on win/xp,) but after rebooting the win box, it only puts reports in the spooler and nothing ever gets printed.

The Win/xp boxes (laptops) are running over a wireless network and they are running Home XP.

Anyone have any ideas as to what is going on here?

Thx, Terry

CUPS, or the Common Unix Printing System, is designed for Unix/Linux. So using it in Windows may not work
properly.
A small Google search turned up a site like
http://www.owlfish.com/thoughts/wini...tml#permission
Maybe you can find some clues there.

Samba printer sharing may be an alternative solution as well.

However, I've already seen some printers shared as Postscript printers, so it may work with CUPS too.
