Connecting two PC through a firewall

OK, I have a Windows machine and a Linux machine. Both conncet through two ports on a firewall. This firewall assigns a dynamic IP to them upon boot. this firewall connects both of them through to the internet.

Now how do I make them see each other and work with / exchange files? I know about Smaba, but I am not sure if my firewall will even allow this. Cound someone help me with this?

The firewall should only block the external interface if you set it up that way, give samba a try.
