configuration to max data transferring

Hello,
We are facing a problem when transferring data over the wide area network, are there any configuration to max data transferring?

Note:
we are sending data between two servers using oracle replication method, this method depends on TCP/IP protocol sending data takes along time.
We have another O.S, rather than Linux which is Unix ware, and transferring data is fast with the same connection speed which is 64kbps, but when we migrate to red hat Linux ES update 3 O.S, sending data takes a very long time.

Its urgent,
thanks for Help.
Best Regards,
