compiling and configuring sendmail on solaris 9

am trying to set up sendmail on my machine. just downloaded sendmail-8.12.11 ...

have a folder called sendmail-8.12.11 under my root.

when i try to comiple using sh Build (in /sendmail-8.12.11/sendmail) i get the following error ...

Solaris by default does not install the tools necessary to compile programs from source (such as make etc). You can install them from Solaris CDs or download them from http://www.sunfreeware.com/
