cant access my web server externally

Ok, first off, I am really sorry of this has been asked a dozen times, I did try to search, but tbh, I wasnt really sure what to search :/

I am a linux novice. I have set up MySQL - 5.0.20-standard on suse 10.
Everything seem's to be working fine, I can access my pages from my XP box that is on the same network using the internal IP (192.168.0.3).
All that I added is there, and functioning fine. Now when I give my external IP to a friend he gets the "404 page not found*.

I am behind a DSL router/modem, but have set it to allow any/all so the NAT shouldnt be interfering.
I thought it might be that my ISP was bloking port 80, so I changed the port to 8080, and again, works internally, but not external.

My suse box is accessing the internet, because I put a peice of javascript on there to see if it would read from my ventrilo server, and it worked fine. The only thing I can think is that the box isnt detedting my external IP, I have set the linux firewall to allow the apache2 to access the internet (just to make sure I ran YaST and even clicked it, to make sure I had wiped my arse).

Please help, I am at my wit's end
Thanks in advance to any help.

EDIT:

linux:/ # ifconfig
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:5A:8E:6E:AE
inet addr:192.168.0.3 Bcast:192.168.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

Dunno if this is helpful, but you can see the "inet" is set to my internal addy.

You probably need to set a port forwarding rule in your routers web configuration to direct all traffic to your webserver.

You would forward port 80 to 192.168.0.3

I had already done that mate, Its set to accept any/all to 192.168.0.3, so it will let anything in out to that address.

Needless to say, it still doesnt work
