can't umount nfs volume

I have trouble umounting a nfs volume, this is because the nfs server is not availabe. So everytime I do ls -l or use tab completion the shell hangs.

I tried with the --force flag but that didn't work, I got a error message that portmap was unreacheble. So I got the directory "semi" unmounted using the --lazy flag. So now I can work as usuall.

The only problem is that there is a lot of processers that are still running since they blocked while trying to access the nfs volume.

How do I remove procs that have blocked on unreacheble nfs volumes?

I have tried kill and kill -9 but they are still there.
