Can't read international chars in *some* emails.

Hello, first post for me in this forum.

I have a problem with incoming mail. I am swedish, many of the mails I get are in swedish and most of them look ok. A few emails however won't display the characters ÅÄÖ or åäö however. Instead, these look like like other characters (X, E, whatever).

It's always the same sender, but their mail looks ok when I receive it to other adresses. Mail from hotmail accounts but also some other sources suffer from this problem.

My own setup is fetchmail, postfix and mutt. I don't think the problem is with mutt, because if I cat the mail file, I see the same strange characters. I don't think it's postfix either, I used to run sendmail and I had the same problem there (actually, that's the reason I changed to postfix.) I don't have any other problems with these characters and since most mail display correctly I don't think it's the font or display setting... So I believe the problem is with fetchmail.

Has anyone seen this problem before? Or has some tips where I might look for information?

Thanks, Lenny.
