Hi, and welcome to LQ!
First I have to say your question is not very clear, far too little information. There is a good guide here how to ask questions.
We need to know what distro, what hardware, what kind of addressing - dhcp or static? - do you get an ip at all, firewall configuration, nameserver, external firewall/how is your network setup. "pptp" - is it used for your internet connection, or is it a vpn connection that fails?
Just a few things to start with. :-)

A few quick checks, in a terminal:
1) "ping 8.8.8.8" - if that works, try "ping www.yahoo.com". If that fails then it's a problem with nameserver.
2) "sudo service iptables stop" - if it works after that it's a firewall issue. Start firewall directly, you don't want to be unprotected! "sudo service iptables start"

Hello sorry about not getting alot of information, Here is it:
My os is debian 64-bit
It is at home conncction and it is dhcp, the server was working for months but when i tried to setup pptp the next day i tried to reboot and then there is no internet, when i tried to ping 8.8.8.8 it give me:
*connect : network is unreachable
And when i ping yahoo.com it give unknown host even the firewall is off
And when i tried to type ifconfig it give me only the ip that start with 127.0.0.1 not the 192.....

You network adapter isn't up. Do you have one configured? Is it plugged in?

What do you get with:

Code:
dmesg|grep -i eth

In addition.

Why are you trying to setup pptp? What are you trying to accomplish?

Good with more info! Now at least I know where config files are and their most probably names.
As stated by others, your nic eth0 isn't up. So now let's see:
1) dhcp you say. So where is the dhcp server, the system where your server gets the ip?
Is that your external firewall or something else? How exactly is the network setup? What steps/equipment is there between your server and the internet?

2) Does your server use NetworkManager?
If no, please post your "/etc/network/interfaces".
If yes, post your "/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/Wired connection 1".
(I don't use NM so the name "Wired connection 1" might be different. Just find the config file for your nic, or post content of all config files under /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/).
If you don't know whether you use NM or not, then post everything mentioned above.

3) What happens if you do "ifup eth0"?

4) "pptp" - are you trying to configure a pptp client or server?
Please post the config files for pptp.

5) Check which services are running - that is, output of "ps -e"
