Boot Error: Root file system /dev/root

hello friends

I am receiving following error after I restored my system. When it tries to check the root filesystem; After this error the system starts but when I type mount then it gives

rootfs on / type rootfs (rw)

rather than

/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part2 on / type ext3 (rw)

my scripts for backup are dependent on the output of mount command so there are probelms in restoring rootfilesystem.............

Please suggest me what shoul i do to remove this error!

Thanks in advance!
Aditya
