Any document to understand e1000 network device driver source code

Hi,

Is there any documentation file that might be helpful to understand the source code of e1000 network device driver. I also want to understand how e1000 handles IPv6 encrypted packets.

If documentation file contains definition of functions, the high level code description or any modeling or diagrams to understand the code, it will really help me alot.

Regards,

you're really unlikely to find a ncie neat guide about a single driver's internal working... i'd just suggest you check out the source code.
