Add username to all prints

I was wondering if anyone knew of any way to add the persons username to the footer of all documents printed?

Don't know if this helps - but if you are using CUPS (and you did post in the Linux-Networking Forum) and I can only speak for what I see on my Suse 10.1 x86_64 lappy -- have a look at /usr/share/cups/banners/unclassified which shows a 'template' including:

Requesting User: {job-originating-user-name}

If I set 'Starting banner' in KDE's printing manager -> Properties -> Banners to 'Unclassified' I do indeed get a 'cover' page showing the requesting username - however it doesn't appear on each page as it would in a footer.

Hope this helps

Cheers
