Unhappy 3c90x problem

Hello...
I have an IRC Server running on a Pentium MMX 200 Mhz with 128 MB RAM and a 3com 3c905cx card. I'm running an old version of Red Hat (6.2), with kernel 2.2.14-5 and I compiled the module 3c90x (the 3c59x didin't work) that at first sight works perfectly. After one week running, the network stops answering the packets and I go to the terminal to see what's going wrong and I realize that just the network has stopped working. Ifconfig shows everything up and also shows some error on the eth0. Then I just bring down the eth0 and set it up again and it works again.
As I said, it is an IRC Server and it's boring to have freezing all the time.
Anybody can help me?
Thanks!

What error did ifconfig show? What does netstat tell you?
