Über-strange (Network does'nt work at all)

Hi!

Me and my friends own a server, with gentoo installed. (Used for a cs and bf2 server)

When we (blablabla whatever.. not like you care? (Yes, i'm tired...))

Now, the server won't recieve an ip from dhcp... (It can be assigned statically, but then we can't even ping...) It cannot recieve any packet over the network...

We have tried everything...:

Another network card... did't work
Check the cable in another computer... worked
Another cable... did't work
Even more network cards... did't work
Static IP... did't work
Another DHCP server... did't work
LiveCD... did't work
Tested if the LiveCD worked... worked

and COUNTLESS others... name one! (I've tried it!)

Any suggestions..?

You might want to check to see if you have a firewall enabled. That could cause some problems.

there is no firewall on the server, the same setup has worked previously..
