Software Manager must be force quit to close

Hello. I use package manager to install program in linux mint 9. After using and closing the package manager, i run the software manager just to see what it is. I didn't install anything using software manager but when I try to close it, it just gray out. I have to force quit it just to close the window. It happens everytime I use the software manager. How can I fix this problem. Thank you in advance.

Try starting it from the command line and see whether any errors appear in the command window, then let us know what the error message are.

In my Ubuntu, the command would be sudo synaptic. I just tested it and was able to close it normally.
