I loaded Mint Cin 18.2 and everything works except the speaker sound, when you run the test they produce no sound, the mic works fine.

Try opening the terminal and type alsamixer.

Raise up all of the columns and make sure they are not muted.

(mm) means muted and (oo) means not muted.
