Black screen when suspending on linux mint 19


Hello there,

I have installed Mint 19.1 Tessa on my netbook computer. The problem is that when I try to turn on the computer after suspending, the screen turns black and after this all I can do is turn off the computer from the button.

Intel + NVIDIA above means you have Optimus. Did you follow any Optimus instructions? Maybe https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project...bee/issues/971 or https://mintguide.org/tags/optimus/ will help you.

don't you got a slap it first to wake it up, then it takes a second or two before it does?
I know when mine inadvertently falls into a slumber mode, I have no real Idea how to wake it up, my power button is shut off space bar I think wakes it up but it takes a few.

This helped me.....

If you have screen brightness symbol in your laptop, try pressing that.....

So when your open your laptop, then you get black screen. So try pressing the fn + screen brightness or screen dimmer buttons.
