Wireless Fix, Sporadic, dropped Wi-Fi Connections, with my Sony Vaio Laptop VGN-NW150J, using iwlwifi.conf file
Hey Guys,just wanted to share with anyone who also ran an issue with Sporadic Wi-Fi or dropped wireless connections with this Wifi adapter iwlwifi-5100-Intel-Type.
My connections kept dropping here and there. There is a more detailed article further below, but immediately below is the file i updated with root permissions. Hope this helps someone like it did me.

--> Open a Terminal
--> log in as root ( su enter) or sudo to edit /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
**you do this with vi or open a textpad with root access.**
-->Copy the two lines below TO THE END OF THE iwlwifi.conf file...:
options iwlwifi power_save=1 d0i3_disable=0 uapsd_disable=0
options iwldvm force_cam=0
--> Reboot your Laptop or PC, and your Wi-Fi will be more stable :-)

Intel wireless cards (iwlwifi)
Additional power saving functions of Intel wireless cards with iwlwifi driver can be enabled by passing the correct parameters to the kernel module. Making it persistent can be achieved by adding the line below to /etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf file:
options iwlwifi power_save=1 d0i3_disable=0 uapsd_disable=0
options iwldvm force_cam=0

iwlwifi
iwlwifi is the wireless driver for Intel's current wireless chips, such as 5100AGN, 5300AGN, and 5350AGN. See the full list of supported devices. The firmware is included in the linux-firmware package. The linux-firmware-iwlwifi-gitAUR may contain some updates sooner.
If you have problems connecting to networks in general or your link quality is very poor, try to disable 802.11n, and perhaps also enable software encryption:
/etc/modprobe.d/iwlwifi.conf
options iwlwifi 11n_disable=1 swcrypto=1
If you have a problem with slow uplink speed in 802.11n mode, for example 20Mbps, try to ena
